Tarrant County North Texas Real Estate

Tarrant County is an urban county located in the north central part of Texas.  Fort Worth serves as the county seat to a county population of approximately 1.7 million citizens.  The major communities and North Texas real estate options that lay within the fast growing Tarrant County include Fort Worth, Arlington, and HEB (Hurst-Euless-Bedford) with over a 100,000 residents each.  Mid-sized cities include Azle, Benbrook, Colleyville, Grapevine, Haltom City, Keller, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Saginaw, Southlake, and Watuga.

Tarrant County reaches from the western edge of Dallas and Denton counties all the way to the wide-open plains around Fort Worth, the terrain so perfect for cattle ranches.  It does have a bit of everything when it comes to North Texas real estate.  Single-family homes, high-rise lofts, garden homes, condominiums, and zero-lot line homes—in a wide range of zoning districts from downtown to rural—are available.  The rich tapestry of North Texas real estate and the Dallas/Fort Worth region (referred to as The Metroplex) allows residents and visitors to share vast cultural, recreational, educational, and commercial features.

Proud of its “Cow Town” roots, Fort Worth’s emerging cultural districts, fine restaurants, and fine suburbs have challenged the city to maintain its ranching identity.  The western heritage now sits side by side with its internationally renowned Cultural District, complementing one another and creating wonderful things to be involved in, to do, and to see.   All the while, the mores and attitudes that developed over the history of Tarrant County live on into the modern era.

Tarrant County’s economy transformed itself into one of the most vibrant and diverse in the nation.  It now leads the regional resurgence in business relocations and expansions, retail development, and new housing construction.  Once tied to the oilrigs, cattle ranches, agriculture, aerospace and defense plants, and a military base, the County’s tapestry of businesses today reaches out around the globe.  Boasting some of the foremost international commercial and industrial airports marks the area as a major transportation hub in the United States.   Although the frontier has changed over time, the pioneering spirit burns brighter than ever, revealing a diverse spectrum of businesses and lifestyles.

As lifetime residents of the area, Real Estate North Texas staff welcomes new residents to the area, assisting them to find the best neighborhoods to fit their families’ priorities.  We know the pros and cons, the schools, extracurricular activities, tax bases, and zoning—information that is essential for making the house hunting experience enjoyable.
